Engaged? Woohoo! Now what?...
A guide to your first steps from proposal to planning this engagement season
Engagement Season is Almost Here!
The Christmas & New Year holidays are the time of year when family and love are the most celebrated and one of the most magical times to pop the question.
Saying “YES!” during Christmas or New Year is an extremely special high point in your life and will surely be followed by phone calls, IG posts and ring flashing.
But, once the squeals and well wishes subside you are faced with the task of planning the actual wedding. To help you on your way, here are the first 3 steps to start planning your dream wedding or elopement in Mallorca:
1. Set Your Vision & Budget
Whether it’s a grand wedding or an intimate elopement, decide on the style, size, and max budget to start your planning. To give you an idea, a realistic starting budget for your Mallorca wedding is 35,000€ with approx 80-100 guests.
For smaller parties and elopements, a smaller budget is definitely doable, that`s why I am happy to hold a free consultation to answer your questions and give you some tips to get started.
2. Set the date (more or less)
Consider what will work for you as a couple as well as your guests. The time of year you would like to hold your wedding depends on weather, availability and costs.
Do you prefer temperate spring, hot summer sun or a warm autumn afternoon?
Do you or your guests have children whose school holidays are a big factor to work around?
Do you imagine being part of the high season summer vibes or the quieter mid season at the beginning or end of the summer months?
It helps to have the option of a couple of dates or a range so you give yourself the best chance at the availability of your venue and suppliers.
3. Book Your Mallorca Wedding Experts
There`s an important order to this based on securing availability for your date as soon as possible. Mallorca is a very popular choice for destination weddings and suppliers are in high demand during peak wedding season so the date flexibility will be on your side here:
Find your Mallorca Wedding Planner.
Next, if you have a planner they will start with scouting your Mallorca Wedding Venues, if not you will take this step alone or with a venue finding service.
Third step is catering and celebrant and the rest will trickle along after that.
