The Mallorca Project Q&A
What is The Mallorca Project about?
Inspired by the beautiful island of Mallorca. The goal is to find the balance of give & take between celebrating special occasions as visitors and protecting the magnificent nature & culture of the island. The yoga project and the wedding project are evolving works focused on bringing visiting clients the most authentic and high quality experiences.
How does yoga cross over with weddings?
Who says you can only be good at one thing? 20 years in the making, bringing two passions together and drawing on two areas of our founder`s expertise, the yoga project and the wedding project are evolving works focused on bringing visiting clients the most authentic and high quality experiences. The summer seasons are for giving to my clients, sharing my knowledge and curating beautiful experiences. The winter season is for planning meetings, writing ceremony scripts and travelling between my teacher in India and teaching internationally.

Is a celebrant ceremony a legally recognised marriage?
The best and most sensible advice is to legally marry in the country where you reside. In fact, unless you are Catholic, Jewish or have been a Spanish resident for 2 or more years you cannot legally marry in Spain. Find out more about destination ceremonies in Spain here
Can celebrant ceremonies be held anywhere?
Yes! One of the great pros of a ceremony designed by a celebrant, they can come to the venue of your choice to deliver a completely tailor made ceremony.
How do you get to know and plan for clients from afar?
Meetings and communication will be arranged around your schedule and using your preferred channels. If you are able to visit the island we will meet face to face, video calls are the next best thing and in the meantime in between time we can chat via whatsapp, email or shared planning docs via Google Docs. A lot can be achieved through pinterest boards, video calls and a little bit of trust.
Who writes the ceremony script? Is it a template?
Every single ceremony is hand written from scratch by me. Based on the information you share with me and built around your unique ideas. We can include traditional elements in the ceremony such as the exchange of rings or the final kiss, or not! It's your ceremony and we will create it uniquely for you.
Can you write our vows for us?
I am here to assist you with writing your vows and guiding you where you feel stuck. Sure, I can write them for you but the best words are those that come straight from the heart.
Can Celebrant and Wedding Planning services be combined?
The role of a celebrant is very different to that of a planner. To give you and the ceremony the attention and expertise deserved, the role of planner and celebrant will never be combined for the same client.
Does the Venue Finding service have to be combined with another planning service?
Venue finding is a stand alone service as this can be one of the most challenging parts of the planning process. Couples having a destination wedding have limited time during their planning visits so lining up multiple visits in one day streamlines the process to make your visit as productive as possible.
If you find your venue and you are keen to get on with the planning yourself, that's just fine. If at any time you feel you would like some extra support with on the day coordination or full planning you can select this later and we will deduct the venue finding fee from the planning service fee.
How many weddings do you take per season?
Depending on the size of the wedding project there will be a limit to how many clients we work with each season. As a boutique agency I guarantee that I oversee every single project and will never have more than one client on any given day.
What is the minimum budget needed for a destination wedding on Mallorca?
For a traditional wedding celebration with 3 course meal and open bar party of 70-100 guests you should expect to budget at least 30-35,000€. If you have a Minimal Wedding in mind this is a wonderful way to have an intimate celebration that is personal and so memorable. When is the ideal time to book a yoga or healing session during my stay?
Make sure you schedule your sessions with plenty of time before you have any other appointments, especially on your wedding or event day. For the best experience you don't want to be stressed about time or feel hurried.
Asana sessions are best done on an empty stomach. It is ideal to have your last meal at least 2 hours before the session. For morning sessions, tea, coffee or a light snack of fruit is fine.
Do I have to have experience to book a yoga class?
Not at all, instruction will be tailored to your experience and desired intensity level. If you have a small group with mixed abilities tuition can also be tailored to suit all bodies. To get it right it is ideal to have a quick call so we can discuss exactly what you want to get out of the session.
How many people can join a private session?
Up to 6 people are welcome to join any `private` session. All equipment is included and larger groups can be quoted for, just ask.
Do I need any equipment?
All equipment including mats, blocks, straps, bolsters can be provided as part of the service.
Where do you hold your sessions?
Wherever you would like, as long as the surface is flat and clean and there is shade from the sun, sessions can be held anywhere on the island.
